12 weeks!

Monday was the big 12 week ultrasound. The little dancing bean (which is now the size of a plum) passed with flying colors. One of the big things that is reviewed on this scan is the nuchal fold behind the baby's neck and how much fluid is in there. This gives the doctor a better idea of the risk for Down's and other chromosomal abnormalities. Ideally, the thickness is supposed to be less than 2.0mm. Bean's was about 1.3 (which is awesome). Typical risk for Down's for a 30 year old like myself is about 1 in 650. The risk now, considering the NT scan is now about 1 in 4,000.

It is still a little too early to determine the sex. Maybe in a few more weeks, but we are still unsure if we want to find out or not. I know that is going to drive some people crazy.

Here are some stats:
Weight gain-5 pounds-I would like to add that my Dr. won't let me start jogging or exercising again for another 2 weeks.
Symptoms-Not as bad as a month ago, but mostly tired and occasional nausea. I hear (mostly from Ryan) that this will improve in the next month and my fatigue will be more bearable once I can start to exercise again.
Baby size- plum!
Pants- I can still wear my pants. I have to use the bella-cheat band, but I can still wear my pants dangit!

I am having issues with my scanner, but once I fix it I will be able to upload some pics of the bean from Monday.

In the mean time here is a picture of our first baby with his new shirt on.

Here's a 12 week pic of the belly.
